What operating systems are supported for the Agent?

ANSWER  Ubuntu (64-bit).

Our preferred choice for the operating system is currently Ubuntu (64-bit).

In most cases, you should be able to get the VM to run on other linux distributions such as Kali Linux. The reason for this is because we've experienced much more consistency and stability with Ubuntu compared to other operating systems where the repositories may constantly become unavailable, etc.

We support using Ubuntu (64-bit) on any hardware device and virtual environments (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware ESxi, etc.).
