What do you consider an IP?

ANSWER  An Internet Protocol (IP) address is essentially anything within your environment that connects to the network.

This question comes up quite often and it should be noted that this includes every network device (e.g. workstations, servers, printers, IP cameras, phones, etc.) within your network.

It's important to treat all of these types of devices as potential threats in your environment until you've performed some type of assessment on them to confirm that their configurations meet security best practices and do not leak any potentially valuable information.
