vPenTest release notes: August 25, 2026

This release includes enhancements, bug fixes, and security improvements.

Enhancements

Details available for in-progress Prospecting tests

Users can now view full details for in-progress Prospecting tests directly from the Running tab on the Assessments page or the Assessments tab on the organization profile page. The Action drop-down menu includes a View more details option, providing immediate access to assessment status information.

Activity log entries for QA completion and report release

The activity log now records two additional milestones: when QA review is completed and when a report is released. Users can track the full lifecycle of an assessment in one place, reducing the need to contact support for status updates after QA begins.

Disabled action menu items visually grayed out

Action menu items that are unavailable for a given assessment are now rendered as grayed out and cannot be clicked.

Fixes

• To prevent accidental data loss, the Unsaved changes confirmation now appears when navigating away from the assessment scheduler by clicking the browser back arrow or the application logo.
• Web application screenshot evidence attached to a finding no longer renders as a URL code block instead of an inline image.
• The scheduled date is no longer cleared when a remediation test is updated.
• The Perth (GMT+08:00) time zone is no longer missing as a remediation test scan time option.
