vPenTest release notes: November 4, 2025

Our latest release includes enhancements, fixes, and security improvements.

Enhancements

Improved domain validation for new company creation

The domain validation logic has been enhanced in the New Organization pop-up form to better align with industry standards and prevent invalid entries. Now, users will see clear error messages if they:

  • Enter a domain segment longer than 63 characters,

  • Use two consecutive hyphens, start or end with a hyphen,

  • Or include special characters not allowed in domain names.

This update ensures only valid domains can be added, reducing errors and improving data quality across the platform.

Auto-Purge Policy: Improved tooltip, default, and validation

The tooltip for the Set auto-purge policy checkbox was updated to the following for clarity: "This will set the number of days vPenTest will keep the assessment data and reports for this company before auto-purging it from the platform."

A validation has been added. The field cannot be left blank or set to 0, and if you enter a single-digit value (1–9), you’ll see the following warning message, "The selected auto-purge interval is brief. Once confirmed, data will be permanently deleted from vPenTest according to this interval and cannot be recovered."

CSV Export: Consistent column naming for IP usage reports

For MSP partner dashboards, the CSV export for the Subscription Overview > IP Usage section has been updated so that the first column is now labeled Organization (instead of “Customer”), matching the terminology used in the dashboard.

IP Pool Dashboard: Activity Log and IP usage breakdown

The dashboard for partners on the IP Pool licensing model has been enhanced with a new Activity Log tab and improved IP usage breakdowns. Partners and admins can now see detailed logs of bonus IPs, released IPs, and total IP consumption, making it easier to track and understand all IP-related activities and licensing events.

Fix

Category Description
Default Logo Fixed an issue where, after deleting a custom brand that was set as default, the logo on the dashboard was not displayed as expected. Now, when a default custom brand is removed, the system will correctly revert to showing the logo properly on the dashboard, ensuring your branding always reflects the current settings.
