What does the "Failed to resolve hostname" error mean?
Your Agent is having issues resolving DNS names.
Typically, if you see this error anywhere on the Agent, this means that your Agent is having issues resolving DNS names. You may want to check your IP address configuration to ensure that you have a DNS server configured and that its IP address is correct.
To determine which DNS server is configured on your Agent, run the following command at the command-line interface:
cat /etc/resolv.conf
Inspect the IP address mentioned in the output from the above command. If you don't have an IP address mentioned in here, then refer to one of the following two articles to configure your IP address and DNS server configurations:
