What if I can't deploy a virtual machine?

ANSWER  If you're unable to or prefer to not use a virtual machine for vPenTest, you can choose to use any physical device you want and use our vPenTest Agent Installation Guide topic to deploy the recommended mini Ubuntu ISO onto that device.

In terms of the operating system, we highly suggest avoiding Microsoft Windows as a platform for us to use to perform the penetration test. We do not and will not support provisioning a Microsoft Windows system to conduct a penetration test from, unless it is within a Virtual Machine using Linux.
