vPenTest release notes: April 2, 2024

New feature (Killer feature)

Advanced Exploitation Settings

We've added a new feature to vPenTest, Advanced Exploitation Options. These new options offer our advanced users more customization and control over their assessments and how their networks are being tested, enabling IT teams to align with their unique network security needs. Although it gives advanced users a ton of control over their assessment, tweaking these settings can potentially take down the entire network if the end-user isn’t a seasoned security expert with solid understanding of the network environment they’re managing. This is why the Advanced Settings are disabled by default.

If disabled, users will:

  • Not be able to modify the settings on Global Options

  • Existing schedules when Advanced Settings was enabled will remain the same, user just won’t be able to see or make changes until they enable it again.
