vPenTest release notes: June 9, 2025

Our latest release includes a new EMEA data region, fixes, and enhancements.

New feature

EMEA data region now available

New MSP partners and MME companies can now choose to host their vPenTest accounts in our EMEA data center, located in Germany. This option is ideal for organizations that need to meet GDPR requirements or prefer to have their data stored, processed, and managed within the EMEA region.

Key Details

  • EMEA Production URL: emea.app.vpentest.io

  • US and EMEA environments are fully isolated

  • You must choose one region for your account. Data cannot be split across both.

FAQs

Can I have access to both regions?

  • No. Your account and data must reside entirely in either the US or EMEA region.

Can I migrate from US to EMEA?

  • Yes, at a future date, we will offer a one-time migration.

  • This will be a maintenance window scheduled with your team.

Will the platform work the same?

  • Yes, functionality is identical, but data region impacts the endpoints and source external IPs used for pentests.

  • Please ensure you use the appropriate allowlists and public IP ranges when preparing for your automated external and internal pentests.

Fixes

Category Description
Comparison Chart data We resolved inconsistencies between the vulnerability assessment findings shown in the comparison chart on the Company Profile page and those displayed in the Executive Summary report. To ensure accurate and consistent data across the app and reports, we updated the logic for retaining assessment statistics:
  • If an assessment is auto-purged, its record will now remain visible in the "List of Previous Assessments" on the Company Profile page.
  • The related statistics will continue to appear in the “Comparison Stats” tab on the Company Profile page.
  • These stats will now match the data shown in the “Executive Summary” report for full alignment.
Email Notifications Fixed an issue that prevented users from removing email addresses from the notification list during assessment scheduling. Users can now successfully update notification settings and exclude specific recipients as intended.
Sidebar Notification Alerts Resolved a UI issue where raw HTML formatting appeared in the notification description preview. Descriptions now display clean, user-friendly text.
